Nikola Tesla Airport started working in 1962. At tha time the runway was only 3000 meters long, and the Belgrade Airport had a terminal building, control tower and modern equipment. Later some of the buildings were rebuilt and the runway prolonged.

Since 2008, Nikola Tesla Airport is operating at full capacity and under conditions of low visibility. Airport Nikola Tesla or the Belgrade Airport is the base of the national airline Air Serbia, charter airline Aviogenex, Wizz Air, Air Pink, Prince Aviation and others.

The information booth is located on the ground floor of Terminal 2, across from the check-in counters for passenger and baggage check-in and is available to passengers 24 hours for all information and assistance.
